no rest is a „sporty contribution“ to modern music. The musical material comes from the version for oboe and soprano saxophone, written in the 1990s. Catchy rhythmic patterns and harmonies give the work its structure, while the performer is almost never allowed to come to rest.
The piano version of this piece may be less „breathtaking“, but the work still presents the performer with a technical challenge - especially because both parts of the duo merge into an „all-in-one“ fusion.
